The catharsis of my recent post was intoxicating. I have likely fallen off the radar of any regular readership, if such a thing ever existed, but it doesn’t really matter.

So here’s a poem to keep the momentum going.

The part I like least
Is my fear of the other side
Where grass is greener
And sins are yet unseen,
Where histories rest unmined
And wounds hide in darkness,
And sparks leave you blind.

The part I like least
Is my fear of the other side
Where grass is greener,
Skin is smoother,
Eyes are brighter,
Asses rounder,
And I’m nowhere to be found.

The part I like most
Is when I’m rewarded
For my loose grip and easy yes,
And you bound towards me,
Brimming with a love deeper
And wider than before.

The part I like most
Is when I glance down
To the green grass beneath us,
The withered fields we came from,
And it dawns on me
That the other side is here.
